Is it good or bad to flex and stretch the muscle out the following day when its sore? Just wondering?

better to stretch after ur workut to help ur muscles but i dont particularly stretch a sore muscle the day after, maybe if its cramping or just feel i need it but i dont do it religiously

Stretchin theories

One you can stretch the facia directly after a workout. After each working set. Hold weights in full stretch position.

four some claim stretching is counter productive and the first few sets should do the trick I will let you decide

Fry, you could've easily made that one post instead of four...

I agree with JornT, there's better ways to warm up before resistance training...and stretching might aid between sets but it's been proven that it does not reduce actual muscle soreness on days following training.

bodybuilders have known for several years now that stretching before workout puts the muscles at risk to injury.
The BB mags like flex only pointed out this last year !

I also disagree with between workout stretches UNLESS it's with weights/resistance.

I just shake out the target muscles to loosen them a LITTLE.

Ifr your going to streach preworkout i would warm up the muscle first with 10 min of cardio to avoid strains and tears.
