Really tough break man, sorry to hear it. Unfortunately the only real thing you can do is eat well, which is probably even more important now for maintaining your gains than it was while lifting. You might actually tighten up considerably from this. After surgery I'd try things like pushups or leg movements (if you can't use any weights maybe do like weightless sissy squats against a wall for high reps). You're in a tough spot, but who knows, maybe this time off will benefit you in the long run. Stay tough, bro.

Stay active. There's plenty of athletic stuff besides lifting!

You gonna let JCHICKS show you up? If you're half the man he is, you'll find a way. :thumbs:
finally here are some pics of the nubb!

Bad news man! That's gotta be tough! Hope the recovery is quick. Just stay mentally with it and keep eating good and just do what you can! You'll get it back in no time on your return!

You can still train ...... any exercise which eliminates grip or arms.
- SQUAT in a smith machine
- calf raise
- leg extension
maybe leg curl too.
- ab work
- neck work

etc

let us know your plans.

You can use pretty much any gripless machine (chest, side delts, rear delts, pullovers, and if you can adjust the padding up in your forearm, even curls and extensions).

Terry Mitsos did a similar thing back in 92'. He tore his biceps and broke his hands. The doctors rigged up a cast that had hooks so he could still weight train, it was unconfortable so he tore the cast off. He snapped his biceps again doing so :)

Sad to say your out, dont try and speed up recovery by doing something stupid or you could be out for good.

Rock on. 12 sets of pec deck!

Seriously, I think things like this make us better lifters. The average bodybuilder isn't asked to innovate nearly often enough, especially against clear-cut obstacles. Keep it up.
