Since christmas time last year when i had 9 days off the longest break i have had from training was 3 days i think....long weekend break and thats it. But i was still growing so i figured why stop!!!!

Anyways, now its christmas again and i think i should give my body a full rest een though i dont feel i need one......im taking one because its after a competition re-bound and i just think it cant hurt to rest up. I was told by flex lewis to make sure i take the month off to heal after my rebound and that its very important, and well, what flex advises i follow.

However, my arms lag behind everything else, they're only 17" when cold....and i need them to be bigger to match the rest of my upper body, so im gonna carry on training instead of taking the complete rest i planned.....this is because ive had the idea of training arms twice a week and not training anything else at all....just arms on mondays and thursday.

Monday:- Heavy
Thursday:- lighter

I think this will give me a bit more on my arms as the shock has to do some good.....just wondering if anyone else has ever done this with any success.....i dont mean the arms and nothing else, i mean arms twice a week.

( anyone else apart from branch warren and johnnie jackson )

I don't see the point in working once light and once heavy. I might train in different rep ranges (one day 4-6 and another 10-12) but it's always heavy. Go heavy or go home.

And btw I work every body part heavy twice a week and growing nicely. When I only work once a week I grow much slower.

just go heavy and blast them out....if u feel that on thurs its way too sore then still go heavy as u can but do a different rep range. i find that when i train my arms twice a week i feel different and they grow. its just keeping it at twice a week for a few weeks that is hard because of school shit.

For the same reason as starting to train twice a week to shock them into growth. Try a different stlye of training aswell. If you're a volume man, try HIT or vice versa. Also, I'd swap the exercises around a lot aswell to hit the arms differently each time and not let them get used to anything in particular. At least for a while anyway. Just my opinion, but looks like you've got a good idea what works for you anyway judging by your pics.

gonna bump deadman on HEAVY!...Twice per week two exercises,Three sets total for each exercise BBcurls + incline db or seated. warmup..first two sets in the( 6-9) rep range last set 6 reps, if you can lift one more rep after (6) with GOOD FORM you were not heavy enough.repeat for incline .Do this twice a week add 5lbs per each week until you fail at (2) reps on final set. When you reach this point change exercise for two new ones ie: preacher bench +seated isolated curls, once you have reached max weight then add more reps this process should take you a life time they will grow if your eating and resting properly

rather than one heavy and one light u could try triceps heavy and biceps light and then swap it over at the end of the week the other way around
or do like arnold did on one day do (this is what he said he done not what im saying u should do) 20 extremly heavy sets for biceps or 4 or 5 reps only
and then 2 or three days later do more sets, this time 10 sets of 15 reps and he figured that his arms couldnt handel the constant shock so they'd have to grow
my arms suck so i cant tell u much hope this may help a little ^^^
