Hey mindstar, good to see you're still gaining. Is that 5 working sets, or including your warmup/'feel' sets? My bench is damn low right now, got to get back on a regular routine and tighten up my diet again. TTYL

My current max is ~290lbs (did this a month ago, but have improved and not tested since).

Previously I have done 310x3 a few years back. Should nail that soon, as long as the shoulders start improving.

Hey buddy, we'll get you back pushing weight soon...that's 2 warm ups and 3 working sets. I'm not flat benching right now, only incline, but I don't imagine my strength dropping because of it.

We never did get around to our 4-rep powerlifting rules bench-off.
Maybe our next bet will have to be a 3-rep flat bench the way RugbyCanada and South Africa does it - with a full 3 second pause at the bottom of each rep. That really put the depth chart of those big boys into perspective for me. No wonder I'm still considered small for a front rower!

These always make me laugh. U don't build a big chest with bench cause u get obbsessed with weight. No point goin for 1 rep. Hey I benched 165kg but it really means shit all cause I was bridging my back and driving with my legs to build momentum. Hell bet it would be 185kg with bench suit. But it won't build a big chest. Most likely u will just hurt yourself. Drop the weight do it properly???
