Hi guys just checking if anyone trains with the head harness. I know it's a bit of an underground technique because it's dangerous but it adds muscle to your neck and traps.

I can do it the traditional way with 40kg hanging off now. And my shoulders, neck and traps have improved.

IF you don't know what I'm talking about look at this pic

Any way Iv'e come up with 3 variations to the exercise front/ up, side to side and back to front.

Does anyone have any other variations on this awesome exercise

i think this exercise will mainly benefit fighters and or football players.... I dont think that a bodybuilder should really train this way.. no need to be honest. your neck should grow with your body anyways.. its really ugly in my opinion to see a guy with a huge ass neck.. it makes the rest looks off beat..

THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly.
AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES."

Being a Christian is like being a pumpkin. God lifts you up, takes you in, and washes all the dirt off of you. He opens you up, touches you deep inside and scoops out all the yucky stuff, including the seeds of doubt, hate, greed, etc. Then He carves you a new smiling face and puts His light inside you to shine for all the world to see.

yea, I train my neck. i lay on a bench with a towel between my head and a 25 pound plate and do about 25 reps for each side and front for 4 sets, once a week or every other. Since then I have seen more veins and striations in my neck, when picking a weight up or turning my head or what have you. Anyway I think it looks pretty badass so i'll keep doin it. I just keep weight low and reps high to keep my neck from getting out of proportion.

i dont think its necassary and if you are nat careful you can hurt yourself. but i did these on a machine a while back (my high school had a special machine for it) and my neck did get a little bigger, idk about my traps b/c i started deadlifting back then, so i cant say my traps got bigger b/c of training neck. but it does give a pretty cool look
