start light with high reps & increase weight & lower reps or the other way around?

i'd start lighter with more reps to warm up and then pryamid your sets up usually.
although soemtimes after a good warm up just go straight into heaviest working sets for a shock, but dont usually come back down for more sets after that just stay a few sets on that and thats it

i prefare 2 do reverse pyramide...basicle after a good warm up i jump into my heavist set and do it with low reps then decrease the some weight after for the folloiwng sets and do crack a lil more reps....but u have 2 really b carfull cuz u can injur yourself easily if u didnt warm up properly...

I've tried reverse pyrimiding and I find its ok to do, but, only once in a while. Having said that, you should have a go at different training techniques and see what works best for you.

i warm up and then pyrmid the wieght .. actully my warm up reps goes between 15 to 30 reps with very lights wieghts

I sometimes pyramid up and then down or vice versa in the same exercise. Normally as a last exercise for a muscle group thus have done the big exercises so don't feel so bad for using less weight than normal for it! Particularly good on incline d/bell pressing and b/bell curls I find.
