I do cardio in the morning, weights in the evening. My question is, after cardio should I take in slow burning carbs like oats, or simple sugars? I don't feel worn out or anything, but I just wondered how I would replenish myself...? Or does it not matter which carbs you take in?

Hdogg is the expert but ya I agree with him, slow burning after cardio and after a workout I think you need quick carbs to get into your muscles ASAP such as dextrose etc.

Happy lifting!

I don't know about fahad, but I do cardio for my cardiovascular system not weightloss.

Depends on the cardio. Intense cardio (HIIT, sprints) are pretty much workouts themselves, and they burn mostly your muscle's glycogen, so in this case you should take in high gi carbs. If you do light cardio (walking) you're using primarily fat, and so replenishing glycogen won't be much of an issue, you can do this kind of cardio without changing your diet.

Thanks for the replies guys.
Uriel, that makes a lot of sense.

I do walking for cardio because I don't want to lose a bunch of size or strength. I just want a little definition.

I will continue doing what I do..take oatmeal. Again thanks
