I don't know if I'm over worring about it but I noticed that my left pec, bicep and tricep ALWAYS get alot more sore than my right side, in the case of pecs usualy my left usualy have a bigger sore area than my right one, I don't know if it have something to do with me being a lefty but should I worry about that? does a more sore side means it got worked better than the other and is growing more?

First I would recommend switching to dbs and see if this corrects your issue. If u already do that, most people do have a dominate side and what I am guessing is that your dominate sides's muslces are doing the majority of the work both in and out of the gym.

Some muscle imbalance in size and strength may result(this can even be seen in top pros). What is probably occuring is that secondary muscles are compensating for the weaker muscles(ie anterior delt on your right side helping to get weight up on your weak side during a bicep curl, where your left bi may be stong enough to lift the weight with out activating the delt as much) and in barbell exercises your dominate side is pulling a larger load. Also your dominate side has better innervation so its signals are more efficient than the right side. IT is very hard to fight your genetics, but once again any way u can get the sides to work independant of each other so that the dominate side carries the larger load, the better u will be with your issue.

Hope this helps,
Pumaforall

Don't worry! When your lifting your right is stronger than your left. So when you bench most likely your right is lifting the weight first and tilting the rest to your left. Use the mirrors in your Gym to form Check or have some one spot your form!

Yea, I second that... until I had a training partner I didn't realize that if you were spotting me on Incline BB Presses or something one elbow appeared slightly misaligned with the other... basically taking stress off my upper pecs and actually causing slight shoulder problems.

That explains why my left upper chest actually always felt more sore and full than the right. Since reducing the weight I use and working on form more I now have equal soreness on both sides of my chest.

I have the same problem with my left calf and right bicep as well... nothing severly noticable, but a strength difference. I actually think the muscle insertions are slightly different from the other on that one... for Biceps or Calves, what has helped me in that respect is basically when doing concentration curls or one legged calf raises on the leg press... is to obviosly do the weaker side first and dictate how many you do with the stronger side, then go emediately go back to the weaker side and perfrom as many reps as you can. So basically, that counts as one set, but you can actually double the workload on the weaker arm or calf. I think I read that in a Craig Titus article in MD... it works good.
