Like most variations of exercises, I think alternating between the two bars can be useful. Personally, I have found more success using a olympic bar laying backwards on a bench, but I substitute the EZ curl bar every once in a while to add some variation to my workouts. I believe biomechanically there is vary little advantage to one bar over the other although like I perviously stated alternating between the two could stimulate different muscle fibers due to the change in grip angle. |
