I know the the conventional way of thinking is to 4 days a week one bodypart a week to put on size and 5 or 6 days aweek and a bodypart twice a week when cutting for most people, but I tend to think that is backwards before you all freak out and bash me hear me out. When I'm cutting I want to do about 5 days of cardio so it makes sense to train 4 days a week and get the cardio in, plus with the lower calories you don,t have a lot of energy.
When I tried 6 days a week I was not cutting and ate plenty hit each bodypart twice a week and the weight went up. Just my 2cents and I've a cuople of bodybuilders who also do this. Just wondering your guys thoughts.

If you're gonna train a bodypart only once a week, you MUST work it with "blood and guts" or you'll be undertraining. If you train in moderate intensity/volume, go ahead and work it twice a week.

@uriel you mean HIT? i train twice a week; so every body part has 7-10 days to relax!
1) Back + Shoulders
2) Biceps + Chest
3) Legs + Triceps + Abs
and that on Mondays and Fridays...

Hahaha hey man drop the HIT and do something more usefull...like playing golf

HIT sucks. Badly. I still don't get why people call it "High Intensity Training" anyway. By the time you reach your third set your body is so burned from going to failure like that without a single second of rest that your intensity just goes down the drain. By the time you reach your fifth set you're so burned out you'll be using half the weight you could on a normal program. How is that intense? The way I see it, HIT is just a poor excuse for cardio.

And training twice a week probably won't be enough.

how can you train a bodypart twice a weak? I feel sore for at least two to three days after I work a bodypart. If I did anymore i'd feel like I was overtraining.

I could beat your arm with a lead pipe and it would be sore. That doesn't mean it would grow from it.

HIT will give you some gains during the first weeks, but that's it. Nothing major. It's an inferior program. And there's no such thing as "normal". There are hundrieds of different training methods, "normal" is relative.

Look around man, try whatever you like. If it works, stick with it. If it stops working, do something else.

You could try something to "get you started" like HST. It'll give you good gains in both strength and size, guaranteed.

I think it depends on genetics and the time you have. for a little i tried doing a different body part each, lifting 6 days per week. my gains were great but it caught up to me b/c i just didnt have time to set aside each day for working out.
