hey guys, i was wondering what the best workout would be for upping my vertical jump. i used to be able to dunk a basketball and since i have been lifting i have put on a few pounds and i just can't get up like i used to. any suggestions?

I would say Weighted Squat Jumps, Weighted split leg lunge jumps, Power clean and Plyos such as Box Jumps. Good luck! :)

All the above listed will definately help, but in all honestly, by far the BEST exercise is jumping itself. Im 6 foot and can barely touch the bottom of the mesh on a basketball net, despite being able to put up some pretty good weights. One of my friends who played NCAA div 1 ball honestly cant squat 185 low in good form, but hes got a mid 30 inch vertical, reason being all his basketball practice. It sounds too simple, but its by far the best way.
