They workout two seperate parts of the deltoid. You should be doing both of them in your shoulder workout.

If you're just going to do one or the other then presses because it is a power movement that will add more width and thickness to your delts. However it is also important to throw in some side and rear lateral raises, assuring that all three heads of the delt is being worked, in order to bring out more detail and shape in the muscle.

You need to hit your deltoids from all angles to get the results you want and full-developed delts. You can't just do one or two exercises...it's just not going to cut it.

For full delt development you need at least one front delt exercise (presses/front raises), one side delt exercise (lateral raises, some presses like db with elbows out or btn also work to some extent, upright rows once in a while (I wouldn't make a habit out of these, can be tough on the shoulder joint)) and one rear delt exercise (bet-over raises, rows to the upper chest).

Shoulder press definately for adding mass! The laterals you mention are generally a shaping movement.

i deliver milk. its like a 14 hour workout. your whole body gets hit; traps, forearms, upper and lower back , chest, quads, hams , calves, shoulders. sometimes biceps depending on how your carrying something. i feel like because of my job im not making the gains id like to make from working out but on the otherhand, i got so much stronger and wider from doing it, especially in the shoulders and my chest got stronger from having to push 2600lb skids around
