I almost feel like the training section needs two subtopics: Training Questions, and Training That Works. For every post that a person submits about something that they tried and are having great results from, there are 50 question posts on how to train a specific muscle. Takes too much time to sift through. Just an observation...probably nothing that can be done.

I've thought about this too. However, my opinion is that we need to have stickies of "popular" questions. It seems like every week or so, someone asks a "How do I make my chest bigger?," "How do I increase my bench?," "What supplements should I take?," etc., etc. We have a search feature, yet somehow people aren't aware of it, or are just to lazy to use it. It's much easier just to ask the question again I guess. If we have stickies, maybe, just maybe, people would go there first before asking a mundane question that no one really wants to answer again because they already answered it last week. Sorry if this seems like a rant and offensive; I just wish the boards were a little more clean and not full of "pointless" (yes, pointless IMO) questions.

I agree, but I don't think people read stickies, or at least they don't until someone directs them there. There is one sticky that says if you're asking for help, give us something to work with, i.e. your routine, diet, stats, and goals. But very few people put that in a post.

I don't want to complain too much because this is an open forum, and I too have asked a lot of questions. But I like to think my questions are more specific and include enough detail fully answer the question.

Exactly. I want people to learn, but there are other ways of going about doing it than immediately asking the question. First, common sense. How do I make my chest bigger? Well, how about you train it, eat food, get rest, and do it again next week? First, search. Not only this forum, but Goggle, Yahoo!, etc. If you have a question, chances are someone else had the same question at one point. Rant over.

Great idea though Famine. Reps.

well i believe it is how it is because it generates open discussions, and yes some topics are asked again and again, but mostly by some new members, i remember when i joined, i had no idea how to navigate around to find what i was looking for,, plus its always nice when you create a thread and you get a bunch of posts offering help, gets redundant at times, but that comes with the territory,

Yeah, I know what you mean Mike. I know when I first started out, I knew nothing. I was too hesitant to ask though, so I just searched for the information (this was before I found the gold mine of information and knowledge in the Dungeon). I'm sure I've posted some "stupid" questions, but, at the time, felt they were worthy of asking. Guess I'm just tired of seeing the same old threads and having no desire to answer them because of it.

Could they not add an articles section were the different exercises are explained and example routines are given.

Haha. See that's what I mean. There is so much "hidden" information on this site. I say "hidden" because it's not right smack dab on the front page with stars around it and flashing arrows. People don't take the time to look elsewhere, so they end up posting a question.

I agree in a way, but that's the whole point why we're here. We're here to help people with whatever their little hearts desire. And by responding to the same questions over and over again, it only instills the facts more in your head
