Hey guys from where i come from, joining the army is a must when you turn 18 or older and i was wondering if any of you guys ever joined the army and whether you are still able to continue with your bodybuilding lifestyles. This is one of the few issues i am afraid of as i might lose all my progress from my hard work because the army does not allow me to live the life i'm living now...i have to stay up late, not get enough proper nutrition and needing to go for physical trainings, and not having any time to go to the gym. Any response would be appreciated.

Not sure where your from, but most of the U.S. Army gets plenty of nutrition, and more than enough excercise/ time for the gym..

Armies, at least the U.S. Army, are pretty good about ensuring you eat 3 square meals a day if at all possible. The menu in the chow halls is diverse enough to ensure proper nutrition assuming you stay away from the junk food. You will exercise more, as you're gonna do the Army's physical training on top of your bodybuilding. Army P.T., however, tends to focus on calisthenics like push up's, sit up's, and pull up's, and moderate to heavy running depending on your unit/branch. That said, I've known more than a few guys who continued or even picked up bodybuilding in the Army.

I know it's a different branch, but I'm a Marine and have touched on this subject before. What happens with me was in boot camp I lost alot of my progress believe it or not, but now, after all my training is done, for now, I'm able to buy my own food, supplements, and workout after work everyday. Plus I'm on a lacrosse team on base so sports will help me get back. Point being is that you'll eventually be able to somewhat live the bodybuilding lifestyle.

The only time you will not be able to hit the weight is when you are in schools. I have no clue why the Army wants to revert back to basic training type standards when you want to go to a tab school, ohwell.
Otherwise regular duty station you can get hella swole.
10 yrs in Army.

Yup! Put up my personal best bench press in Iraq. 315 and I was about 200lbs at the time. Not amazing, but I was happy!
