i'm interested in some powerlifting bands. my gyn has some chains but but i think i want to try the bands seems like u get a better workout out of the bands instead of the chains. the chains hang to the floor and lighten up as u go down and progressively put the weight back on as u go up and the bands have the same theory but keep more tension right?

what do u guys think stick with the chains at the gym or invest in some bands

and where is a good place to find some bands

They both offer powerlifting advantages in different ways..

The bands are more static - which will definitely feel more fluid in your movement; but the chains, due to their structure, won't be as static and will be more difficult when it comes to balance. Both are beneficial to powerlifting.

You are correct that they 'essentially' do the same thing as they both focus on strengthening lockout.

Do a search on the web around some powerlifting sights and you can find allot of great suggestions.

I wish I had chains in my gym.

The chains look like they would boost strength like crazy.
