title says it all i broke my wrist racing motocross (dirtbikes). its been a few weeks now and it is healing realy well. i have been training for almost 2 years now and ive continued to do legs twice a week since the break but i was just curious to how long you guys think it will take to get back to were i was before it happened. thanks guys

^^ Took me 2 years to get back after my knee reconstruction. But some guys it takes 6 months.

So how long is a piece of string?

I think thats the point of his question. You cant define how long a piece of string is because its relative to the string in question.

Yes the question was rhetorical; as it was meant to highlight the fact that his wrist could take weeks, months, or years to be back to normal.

i understand what you are saying. i dont think it will take 2 years i am hoping that its alot faster but you never kno. thanks for the replys guys

ive bronken both left and right wrist fractures wchich are worse and took me about 6 to 8 weeks then another 2 until i was back to normal i dont seein it being a whole year i ride dirtbikes to ****ty to here that man glad i havent broken anything yet

ya i dont think it will take that long for my wrist to heal but im sure after i get the cast off it will take a few months to gain most of my muscle mass back in my whole body not just my one arm.. thats cool that you ride.

Broke m wrist when I was younger and it's fine to this day. Broke my hand about 3 years ago and it still gives me problems.

It depends.. which bone did you break? if it was something like a simple distal radius Fx (oh, Fx = fracture), typically give 6 weeks to heal, then a few more weeks before you start any heavy lifting. If its the scaphoid you are in for a much longer healing time because the blood flow to that bone is a lot less than other wrist bones. need a little more info to give you a better idea of healing time.
