What are some things I need to consider when forming a training diet? I am 15, 144 3/4 U.S. LBS, 5' 9.5", take in maybe 20-40g of protein guaranteed by shakes and bars. HAVE NOT STARTED LIFTING CONSISTENTLY YET!

What is the best thing about lifting? The feeling in the morning When I get up in the morning and I a in pain when I get out of bed, I know I did my job.

You need about a gram of protein per pound of body weight. Don;t just try to get it from shakes and bars though. Get a lot of it from foods like chicken, tuna, turkey, or any lean meat really. Take your body weight and x it by 15 and that's around what you need to take in daily in calories to maintain it. Any more and you should gain weight and any less you should lose it. You also need carbs and fats to. Check out the stickeys in the nutrition section and read them.
