Just curious about what your dead lift routines look like?

Weight, sets, reps…

A good couple of warm up sets to get the back ready for battle..

Then

I gradually build up the weight doing 5 reps at a time.

135 then 225 then 250 then up and up and up

I usually keep my reps in the 6-8 range. Every now and then should i go as heavy as i can for 1-2 reps for maybe 5 sets?

I have been doing them for a while now, but it is one exercise that i do not lood forward to. I find myself doing the same thing w/ deads everytime. I needed to add a little spice to the routine.

^^ agreed, once you start adding weight and your body responds. You will notice a big difference in everything you do.

Your bench will increase, your squat will increase.. Everything you do will increase.

For me Deads are a must do for bodybuilding!

After I warm up I do 255lbs for 5 or 6 reps and gradually move up in weight untill I can only do 1 rep. This is my powerlifting routine so I wear a belt and do lots of sets. So do you mean you need more to look forward to in your whole back routine or just a change some how with deads?

I just wanted to see what others were doing with deads. I was saying that deads are my least favorite exercise. But i do agree, you cant beat the results.

I usually do 2 warm up sets, then a rep range of 10, 8, 6 or 4. So its usually 135lbs for the warmup. 225lb, 270lbs, 315, I havent DL for over a month and i doubt i could get the 315 now! :-(

The only variation i do is the rack dead
