sumo is either just for ego, or powerlifting.

doesn't work your muscles like the standard way does.

hmm...I'd probably say no...Because initially the stress would overload the nervous system and then you'll get burned out. Your motivation to keep doing them with that kind of aggressiveness would diminsh quickly. But in the long run the body knows how balance itself out and reach homeostasis. In the end your body would get used to it...but not now. You would probably want to ease into that routine. Plus if you do deads like you are supposed to...You would be fryed the first time you did it earlier in the week and the urge to do it twice would be laughable at best.

If you are going to deads twice a week you should have a form/max effort day (training on the heavier side, 3x3 or 5x5) and a dynamic or weak point day (doing speed deads, or working on the lockout or pulling off a platform).

That's solid advice. I like the idea of perfecting each portion of the lift...That's clever

here comes my .02.
if you are doing your heavier deads properly,(proper form and with the right amount of weight) I dont see that you would need the lighter more specific day, nor even with diet would it be reasonable to believe you would be in any shape to do this every week. if you wanna go that track listen to Zir though.
i would say go from the floor 3 weeks out of the month and from the rack every 4th weekish or every other week.
that's just me.
but deads rape me from traps to legs

I use an overhand grip. I don't do the overhand/underhand stuff anymore. It developed my left and right trapezius muscles differently. I don't use straps until I hit 405.

i had/have the same problem
and if you look VERY CLOSELY
so does most every competitor
i was alwayz of the opinion that it was because im accustomed to carrying heavy loads with my right hand naturally
and due to the use of my right, as my dominant hand throughtout the years.

the alternating deads are aggervating.
but if you can do it, i'd love to see if you feel them evening out.
if you decide to, keep me updated.
