I am trying to lose 20-30 lbs, and take off some body fat.

My diet:
Meal1- 1 cup oatmeal, water
meal2- fruits
meal3- sandwich (cold cuts, lettuce)
meal4- steak, fish or chicken and rice
meal5- pre workout 1 scoop whey protein
meal6- post workout 1 scoop whey and some carb.
meal7-fruits

My workout:
Mon-HIIT
Tues- Traps, chest
Wed- OFF
Thurs-HIIT
Fri- Back, shoulders
Sat- LI cardio
Sun-biceps, triceps

Would this plan for the summer help me lose weight? If not plz critique.

It should help you lose weight pretty well, but if you're trying to gain strength too you might want to up the carbs. Mainly in your pre and post workout meals. Do you have a leg day?

I feel as if you don't have enough protein, considering the first amount your body will be exposed to in the day will be at meal 3.

up the protein bro.
immediately if not sooner.
in the morning with that oatmeal
try egg whites
and some try a shake with the fruit in the 2nd meal
and replace the fruits at your last meal with a protein source.
MOST IMPORTANTLY is that protein for breakfast tho.

my suggestion is to eat protein in meals 1,2 and 7.
try to eat eggs in meal 1, maybe chicken breast or tuna in meal 2 and some cottage cheese in meal 7.
these are just some ideas.

Lol yeah that's what I mean tuna and whole grain bread.

I think it would be beneficial to train back and traps on the same day since traps are part of your back and do shoulders on chest day since shoulders assist in benching. Just a thought.

Fruits arent a meal by themselves you need a complete meal.Fruits are also high in sugar so be careful.

traps with back is good
but
for the record i used to train shoulders after chest and i aint get shit for growth and soon as i seperated the two, voila.
i think chest pre-exhausts shoulders too much and basically takes away from the attention good delts deserve to be honest.
from my experience seperating just ensures a helluva lot more work to them.
