So now that hockey and lacrosse is over, icna finaly get back in the gym.

I just need to figure out my routine and shit

I was thinking this

Monday-Chest/Tri's (barbell)
Tuesday-Back/Bi's
Wendsday- OFF or Shoulders
Thursday-Chest/Tri's (d-bell)
Friday-Back/Bi's
Sat-OFF
Sun-OFF or Shoulders

I've never really had a need to do my legs right now, with having hockey and lacrosse a lot.

Why are you differentiating between dumbell and barbell training for your chest and triceps. AND

not only will your core get stronger but your play on the field and ice will benefit from heavy squats and leg presses since it is your legs that drive you in both those sports, stick to compound movements and you will gain size and power and your legs will have more power and stamina in whatever sport you play

Thanks.

For my chest I was going to start with doing both barbell and d-bell, then after 2 weeks or so, do one month barbell, the next d-bell and so on.

If you add legs it will secrete testosterone during workout that is another reason why it is important.

Sounds good as it will save your rotator cuffs and also allow different fibers to be recruited all aiding in better overall gains

He's a lacrosse player finishing up, probably going to give the wheels some time to chill.

Explain how different fibers are recruited? Same movement in nature, focusing mainly on the pecs, anterior delts/triceps secondary. The workload is equivalent, neurologically is what differs.
