I understand that bodybuilding is a personal sport and that people may get different results from different types of training they do. I was just wondering what are all the different types of training there are because I don't think I have found my best one yet.

Since pretty much every individual has their own workout, modified to their schedules, there could be thousands, possibly millions out there! Albeit maybe the variations are very small but they are still variations.

Regardless, there isn't really a routine which is "best for you" or "best" at all. They can all work, for a given amount of time, depending on your genetics/schedule/age/anabolic usage.

The most important point of bodybuilding, like any other strength training sport, is to lift progressively heavier weights. The 2nd most important point is keeping the bodyfat levels at low-ish levels to appreciate the look of a nice physique.

Tailor all factors around these two points (diet/routine/rest etc) and you are on your road to gains.

It will take time too. Without AAS/genetics, you can look to gain 10-20lbs LBM in your first year and 5-10lbs of LBM going forth. That is of course provided you are progressing very well, you are not injuring yourself constantly, you didn't start too late in life, you have no significant joint limitations....the list goes on.

Progress, persistence, patience.

Well, theres always Big Red training:

A systematic combination of madness and genius together at work: the weight room is to be a sanctuary, a palace of Zen. Ah, but it is also a cage; locked away in the depths of some dark dungeon the forces of muscular contraction battle gravity in an endless tug-of-war game over the quick sand pit of failure. It’s where the big weights clang together and sing out in eternal harmony while the spectators that attend to “tone up” look on in absolute horror, amazement, and envy.

yo im just wondering with the german volume training, i found two different ways one saying add an exercise 3 sets 10-12 reps at the end of each body part workout (the 10 sets of ten reps) im wondering id that would be overtraining or if i should do that to get more of a pump or if i should just listen to my body and do it if i feel the workout was weak?
