Yeah, you could why not, im sure around the base of the fingers there is a lot of padding, or you could always go to a WalMart or Kmart and get a cheap pair of lifting gloves for about $10

it depends what kind of WR gloves you have, some are to thin. I don't know if you might want to use them to lift, but if they feel comfortable use them.

lmao im not the only who uses paper towel. im geussing you meant wrap not wipe? ive only used it in a pinch (haha pinch). i would think thin leather would be ok just depends how faty that part of your hand is or how big your calloues are. i just bought cheap gloves and i love them soo kushy.

You can also use sponges. Like Julio said, some WR gloves are way too thin. Why prevent calluses? Personally I wouldn't use a pair of gloves unless supporting weight that causes pain too intense to grip onto where you need to let go before your muscles give out.

its not just to prevent callouss (for me anyway) i find the bar kinda catches on the callouss lol that are there and pinchs them, then you get a blister behind the callous.

Once your callouses start hurting I havent found a pair of gloves yet that will keep them from hurting anyway.I use to try to wear them only when doing heavy shrugs but i dont even do that anymore.Best thing to do is keep the callouses small enough that they dont get pinched by the bar
