i think i read it on here from somebody who did a post about working out youre back. Is it true that if you just hang off the pullup bar it makes your lats bigger for a long period of time . i could be asking one of the most stupidest qustion posted in a long time but i was just wondering

it's more of an isometric exercise if ur just holding urself up slightly, but basically it's more for endurance overall i'd expect. i don't see how it would make em bigger.

do you mean hang with straight arms or hanging while holding yourself in a pullup position?

either way i dont see how either of those would necessarily make your lats bigger. hanging with straight arms could stretch your lats which is always beneficial.
hanging in pullup position would do what zack explained

good back exercises:

wide lat pull downs
tight lat pull downs
bent over rows
t bar

also hanging or stretching from the pull up bar will allow your lats to pull out wider. there is an actual name for part of the body but i cant remember it right now. but i have read that it can help.

i think its called the scapula. not sure.
