yeah ive done that, i like to do the seperate excercises more though... gotta love heavy assed shoulder presses

i dunno why, but i prefer dumbbells more. When I use a barbell it kinda strains my neck.

the neck/traps help stabalize...... well im gettin double digit reps with 225 on behind the head so its time to move it up a bit

I really caution doing anything behind the head.

You are pinching the tendon of your supraspinatus between your acromium (that boney process at the top of your shoulder where your collar bone and shoulder blade meet) and your humorous head.

It doesn't hurt now, but over time the constant rubbing and impingement can result in tendonitis and rotator cuff problems.

You are also over rotating your shoulder when you go behind the head. Not saying it doesn't work but going in front is much better.

well youre not really supposed to go down literally behind the neck, well you can.... but all you really need is to make your arms parallel and thats it, simply bring the bar to the upper part of the back of your head...stick your head out foward a bit and dont go below the top of your head it isnt neccessary to go all the way down
