Hello everyone...I've been interested in working out/bodybuilding for a long time. I've started and stopped many times...Always giving in on my diet and etc... I am overweight and I hate it!! I am 28 years old, I am 6'1'' and I weigh about 240.I just started again last week and I am detiremened not to give up this time.I don't have alot of equipment right now. I have 1 40 pound dumbell and 2 30's.I have an excercise bike and a cardio glide machine ( I think thats what its called ) I have been doing concentrating curls with the 40 pound dumbell. I have been doing military press with the 2 30's , I have been doing squats with the 2 30 punders also. and I have been doing over-head presses with the a 30 pounder (I saw Jay cutler doing this on the ripped to shreds video and I thought it was do-able for my triceps!) I have been researching alot this weekend on the net and I have found a few more things I can do with the dumbells I have right now.I have also been doing pushups and crunches along with the weight training. I have been trying to do 2 sets of 12 reps of everything, except the concentration curls which i can only do about 9 with each arm now.

I went to the grocery store last night and got a few big things of oatmeal and brown rice. Some tuna, and green beans. I bought to big bags of plain chicken breats.I also bought a can of the jay robb vanilla whey protein stuff to try out with the oatmeal or soemthing. I also heard you could put plain un sweetended cinnamon in the oatmeal to give it flavor but i don;t know if that is true?

I don;t want to be a pro body builder or anything but i want to feel good about myself. The people I work with are always joking about my man boobs!! and I just feel liek shit most of the time becasue of my body.

I am asking if anyone has any suggestions for me....what equpment should I buy next? should I buy more heavier dumbells? should I get a weight bench?what other excercies should i be doing/or can do with the equpment I have?what other foods shoudl I be eating? what can I do with the foods i have to make them into meals, or better taste?

any suggestions are appreciated

Thanks
randy

hey man make sure your getting 6-8 meals a day and are getting in your macros and for equipment you could always just get a membership to a gym which would be a lot easier than buying more equipment. Just stay focused bro and dont give up we are all behind you 100%!

some gyms are cheaper than others, HIIT=High Intesity Interval Training search right here at the dungeon for it or on google. its a cardio where you have short burst of a sprint than walk and it burns your fat for hours after you workout

again, like these guys said-def join a gym, its WAY cheaper than buying your own equipment. plus, ive always liked being around other people in the gym, watching what the big guys do and bein able to ask people for a spot, etc.

if you dont have a split yet do some research and come up with one and post it so we can help you out to reach your goals. do the same for your diet and post that in the nutrition section.

everyone on here is here to help you man and most of these guys really know their shit so if you have any questions- ask away.

welcome to the dungeon and good luck man

I don't know much about making up splits. I have some people i work with that work out and they said try doing weights and pushups every other day and do your stomach on the odd days then rest on sunday?...but them I read alot this weekend about only doing lets say biceps once a week and taking your odd days off completely?...is this the way to go?I don;t know alot of excersises i can do yet....I'm honestly liek totally retarded about all this stuff...LOL
