I know I'm my own worst critic but I don't think I'm losing much weight any more. I do cardio HIIT 5x a week, and if not HIIT, it's LI for 45 mins. I'm concentrating hard on being consistent with my diet and have started my carb cycle [1 day high, 6 days low].

Can I get a fat loss plateau, is this possible?

Well, you havent been sleeping, and i know your stressed about that. Stress can cause a rise in cortisol levels and basically hinder fat loss and weight loss in general from what i understand.

How much weight are you losing? And, do you LOOK better than you did? I think people put too high of an emphasis on weight loss and dont focus enough on HOW they LOOK. After all, you arent a walking number, so its more of how you look than what you weigh.

I don't think its possible to hit a weight lose plateau since the body constantly needs to be fueled by something. Maybe your body has adapted to how and when you do HIIT and isn't as effective as burning fat then.

Here's an article I found with a quick google search.

Weight loss plateau slow weight loss occurs why it stopped

I know what you mean by it can get discouraging, I'm going through the same ordeal; for awhile it seemed like it was going good and my fat burners were on hyperdrive and then all of a sudden they ran out of gas and that last amount I want to get rid of is superglued to my stomach. Just don't get discouraged or stressed man, thats probably the worst thing you could do, because with what little I do know, I know its hazardous to one's health. Everyone on here that I've had the pleasure of encountering is really helpful and everyone backs everyone here, its awesome. We all here for you bro.

I'm trying out the carb cycling, it's pretty difficult. I don't know how I'm gonna do 100 carbs for 6 days, I guess just a lot of protein. I get 70 carbs from my brown rice breakfast, that's a heck of a lot right there. I can do the high day easy, getting in 500 carbs no sweat but the 100 cal days are gonna be nuts. I'm sure I'll see results from this.

As for the body image, that's what my mom says [my dad never says anything to me, he just exists. He's nice and all but you always have to initiate conversations.] that I've come so far since my heavy 300 days but I don't want to think about 'how far I've come' because I'm looking towards the future, not the past.

I think it's just about 10-15 more lbs and then I just have to maintain for a while and go on a bulk. Once I lose the 10-15, I'll be super pleased, but I just can't imagine that day... this is what keeps me sweating it up on the cardio machines.

When you ^^ say take in more protein, do you mean more than my daily requirement, like excess?

Yes, in excess. you could eat way less almost no carbs for a week and eat a lot of protein that week, as that would get your body off track from your regular diet and not be as adapted. it would be pretty much along the lines of an atkins diet

it is said to be risky but yes if he take in 1.8 in instead of say 1.5 when carb intake is down would switch it all up a bit
