squatting uses quads, hamstrings, erector spinae(lower back) glutes, increase all of the above and ur weight will increase also try 5+5 routine to increase strength

there are lots of things you can do to strengthen supporting groups squats are a great suggestion stiff leg would be another all core exercises are great but really there is no magic recipe no ancillary exercise that just unlocks a superdeadlift it is simple and straight forward as most things in lifting you want a big deadlift then do deadlifts as heavy as you can on a consistant basis. Get your form down and strengthen the muscles bottom line.

I would say SLDL helped me out the most but like these guys said, theres no secret. what works for one person doesnt necessarily work that well for someone else.

squats, sldl, and (ive heard) powercleans help a lot with increasing deadlift

use progressive overloading.

one week do reps from 10 to 12 reps with a weight ur comfortable with. then add 10lbs the next week and use that until you can get 10 reps, then over time keep adding and getting back up to 10 reps and then ur deadlift will be superior to what it is now

do you mean doing a deadlift and then shrugging the weight at the top of the lift?

If you want to increase your deadlift you must train the deadlift. Really, it's that simple.

What are you doing at the moment. How many reps how many times a week do you deadlift.

do them separately.

also, never put squats on the same day as deads. too much strain on the CNS.

But yeah, use squats to definitely to help it

There are alot of ways to Increase deadlift power...

1# Work on your Quadriceps this muscle works in the very begining of the lifting(from the floor) This Muscle gives you the first push on lifting from the grownd...A big mistake that alot of people do is try getting the weight up with thier lower back muscles.
Not only that it's dangerus and can lead to a serious injury,it takes some power from your lower back that you can use during the other parts of the exercise.

2# Hamstrings this muscle works mostly when taking the weight down to the floor. From the position that you stand straight The minute you start leaning to the front this muscle starts to work...
It gives good stabilty
It gets some pressure of your lower back

3#Lower abs muscles those muscles work during the hole exercise and can add up to 10% more power on lifting.
Alot of people think that powerlifters have weak abs muscles couse most of them are fat....Big mistake underneath that layer of fat are super strong muscles that give support to the back give power when lifting and trying to avoid a very serious injury called HERNIA(not Inguinal hernia) which alot of people get when lifting in the wrong way and going to heavy.

4# lower back muscles...As you know those muscles work during the hole exercise...Ge
