I trained a few days a killer leg routine with a friend of mine that they hurted for three days. that is an weird feeling cause it hurts but you feel good about your workout and see the diference. well the thing is that i've being hittimg real hard chest doing heavy reps. doing 4 to 5 reps per excercise and though i feel the burn in the moment I haven't felt the burn in my chest like for one day or something,

That's not always a bad thing, pain is not always an indication that your muscles are fatigued.

Perhaps you need a new chest routine to stimulate growth. Or you need more recovery time.

How often are you training your chest. Are you always doing the same 4 to 5 reps consistantly? Possibly changing it up would help out. Just a suggestion.

Chris

your muscles are just getting used to being worked the way youve been working them, in that 4 -5 rep range. This does not mean youre not getting a good chest workout however. You dont have to be sore the next couple of days to guage if the workout you did a certain body part was good or not. If you wanna feel sore again switch up your routine, more reps, different excercises, etc.

try changing you resting time, rest less while lifting. focus on the muscle to really get it to work. Try diffrent angles, and exercises. My chest always hurt the day after and it last for 1 day.

DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) isn't always the best factor in determining muscle growth. If muscle soreness is in excess, it can even reduce protein synthesis. So this could also be psychological.

Try switching things around. This can be by changing rep schemes, lower/upper volume and intensity, complete program, or rearrange the order of the exercises.
