It's fine to not be sore as long as you're progressing and moving on

it just means ur muscles have gained more endurance

you could try to push out those extra couple of reps to get those littlem microtears you want. that will help you gain more and get that sore that you yourself are looking for

Welcome to the Dungeon hunter!

just because your muscles arn't sore after the workout doesn't necessarily mean you didnt work hard enough. But don't get this confused with the resting time. You should still rest a muscle for a good 3-4 days before working it again, even tho it's not sore

basically it's good to wait at least 72 hours before working that muscle solely again

Delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) is neither directly nor significantly related to muscle hypertrophy (growth).

DOMS is microtears in the sarcolemma - the membrane of the muscle fiber - and actually hampers muscle growth for a few reasons:

1. When the sacrolemma is partially torn, glucose uptake into the cell is not as efficient. Less glucose, means less energy for the cell to synthesize protein, store glyocoen, and recover.

2. To repair these microtears, energy is needed, and thus energy is diverted away from protein synthesis.

So, as you can see, DOMS is not a good way to gauge overload (the stimulus for muscle growth).
