Plank, Side Bridges, Cable Crunches, Weighted Crunches, Torso Rotations w/ a weighted barbell, hanging knee/leg raise, machine crunch. Those are just some of the ones I've worked on. If you need anymore you could always look at Bodybuilding.com - #1 Exercises Guide - Over 300 Exercises!. Thats were I've gotten a good amount of exercises from.

In all honesty i think people rely on BW ab exercises to much just be sure to do some added weight movements too, and treat them like any other muscle... progressive overload.

You shouldn't be adding weight unless you want blocky muscular abs. Bodyweight does sufficient for the washboard look abs. You don't want em being big and blocky unless that's the look your going for

It depends. Cuz you want them to be proportional, but also to be flat. So you kinda have to use both.

Kind like the diff between Dexter Jackson's abs and Lee Priests.

Jackson has a flatter and more washboard type ab structure

Priest has blockier, but I'd take his over Jackson's any day

I'd rather have big blocky abs then looking like a fucking emo dick... but hey what ever floats your boat. Its not like adding a little weight is going to instantly make you thick waisted, and i think genetics play a rule in the shape of them as well.

that and overworking the obliques causes a wider waist. I have huge obliques and it gives me a slightly wider waist, but I wouldn't give them up for anything

Then you better get that dick outta your mouth and start training like a man. lol jk. Getting a little testy are we?? haha. Dexter's abs look ten times better then anyone's blocky abs. You want the best of both worlds. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/imag...bg185_1152.jpg

Vic's got it down.

Involve the two types of core developement or stabilization; local and global.

Exercises that involve the trunk, the global muscles include crunches, sit-ups and the general BW, pilate movements. Exercises that involve a portion of the lumbar; the spinal core muscles (local) include torso stabilizing, compound movements, swings, bridges, etc.

Perhaps divide your days up if you're interested in get
