Hey bros. Its been a while since ive been on here. Some of the old timers here should remember me, but there are newer folks that probably dont know who I am.
Late last year I started my "road to 200" thread. I started around 170lbs.
Well im glad to announce that 200 is here to stay now.
Im currently at 204lbs. So I decided its time to make a new thread for my next goal of 220lbs.
I hope to achieve this goal by late summer, early fall.
Im still working a 3 day split mostly, but I change things up now and then when my body needs it.

I have some new personal bests ive posted in my signature. Hopefully they will continue to get better too. Well just wanted to get back in touch and start this new log. Peace out Bros!

Well have you ever been so pissed off on a training day that you set a new personal best?
I had such a bad day today, and it was chest/tri day so I decided to try and max some weight.
I felt like a crazed animal and was literally seeing red. I warmed up on flat bench, and stuck 255lbs on the bar.
I grabbed that shit and gave it all I have. I got it up once and felt like it could go up again. I dropped it down and up it went again. It did give me quite a strain going up that second time. I could feel my head about to explode and it went up very slow and shakey, but damn it went up under all of my own power.
I felt like a beast! My adrenaline was pumping like a madman after putting that up twice.
I just wanted to share that with you bros because it felt so good!
Im not going to max out for a while because im afraid that wont happen again, LOL!
Its amazing what you can do when you are really pissed off in the gym

Ive been doing mostly the same leg exercises for a while now.
I always hit the squats and presses heavy as hell.
After doing my squats, extensions, & curls I usually hit the press hard then move onto calves. But yesterday instead of presses I threw in the almighty "Walking Lunges".
I tossed a 95lb BB up on the old shoulders and went at it. I didnt want to go very heavy being as this is my first time doing these. I wanted to get the form and technique in check first.
There is a spot in my gym with enough space for me to just get six good strides before I have to turn around.
I hit it hard with nice slow swooping strides making sure to feel those legs burn like hell.
I did six strides each way three times(18 strides total) then I would have to rest because my legs were about to collapse with only 95lbs on the BB, LOL!
I did this for a grand total of 54 strides.
I didnt up the weight because I didnt feel I needed to at this point.
Im not sure If I should up the weight and do less strides or keep less weight with more strides.
I go heavy with all my other leg exercises, but this is a first for me doing walking lunges.
Hell I can squat and press some pretty good weight, but these things tore my ass up, LOL!
My hams and glutes are tender as hell today, and they usually dont get all that sore even with my usual heavy assed routine.
It definitely makes a difference changing up exercises. Im gonna keep including these for a while and see how it goes.
ANy suggestions as to how many strides(weight) I should go with?
