if your gonna use a 10-12 rep range, make sure you go heavy like zack said, use a weight that you just about get 12 reps with

This is just my oppinion but reps arent the end all result maker. arnold high reps long training, dorrian yates low reps high weight. however HIT and HVL arent the only systems. Find for yourself what makes you change the most. set a sch and follow it. if you dont trak yer results (ie. weight, lean bdy mass, max weight etc) how can you tell if you change, your mirror image cant change in yer eyes because you see the gradual changes adn they become part of your everyday. I would suggest trying out a few differetn combos and c what has the most effect i know i am unable to constantly hit the low reps, even 6and 8 sometimes dont feel good or safe for that matter. If you push yourself to the max with every set and put forth 100% everytime the weight is trivial you will grow its a fool proof plan food + rest + traing(no matter the type)= results, just find what gives you the best results. gd luck..........

i agree with scott^^
I love the 6-8 rep range but when I come off of it I feel that the 10-12 range gives me a better pump its hard as hell for me to get sore from the 6-8 range I dont know why but when I do the 10-12 range I can get sore as hell. All bodies differ. There is no exact science to this sport each person has to experiment and see what works for them.
Good luck Bro!!

yeah 10 to 12 reps is good for shaping but i suggest just finding a good weight tha you can do 10 reps. Ive tried the 6-8 and the 5X5 workout but nothing works like 3-4 sets of ten (not including warmup reps with lighter weight)
