anything behind your head is risky, so stay away from it

Shoulder raises are great.

Try wide upright rows to hit ur lateral delt heads really well. It'll make u look wider

Well f you wanted you could use 2 dumbells and perform the same motion, but most people use a barbell instead.

Where is your sticking point? The first three or four inches off your chest, the middle, the lockout? Maybe you need a different grip. Theres many factors that need to be analyzed in this instance.

you don't necessarily need to be strong to keep bulking up right? Like if your at a plateau, but your still feeling sore the next day and making gains, there nothing wrong?

no, but he wants to strengthen up his bench so I was suggesting using powerlifting techniques cuz those are kinda the backbone to a good training regimen

hey smre123:

Don’t overwork your chest trying to gain strength. You build up your upper back and triceps for a big bench, so include lots of rear-deltoid work, rows, pull-ups, dips and triceps presses into your routine. Gradually increasing your strength in these excercises should allow you to gain more strength for the bench.
