3 large portions to the quads; vastus lateralis, medialis and intermedius. These are covered by the Rectus forumus.
So, when you squat, I feel the angle you put your legs can change the direct stress. So for example:
\/: hits/felt in the vastus medialis and intermedius (inner and middle quad)
||: hits the vastus intermedius as well as the reamining. (middle primary, laterals secondary)
So, basically you can try putting your feet in different directions to place pressure on different portions of the quads. Same can be done on leg extensions, placing feet in different directions. |
