Is there any exercises that will work the inner and outer thighs other than hip adductors and hip abductors?

step ups help a bit, but you can just change ur footing positions on leg press and shit like that.

other than that just go with the adductors and abductors. they work really well

3 large portions to the quads; vastus lateralis, medialis and intermedius. These are covered by the Rectus forumus.

So, when you squat, I feel the angle you put your legs can change the direct stress. So for example:

\/: hits/felt in the vastus medialis and intermedius (inner and middle quad)
||: hits the vastus intermedius as well as the reamining. (middle primary, laterals secondary)

So, basically you can try putting your feet in different directions to place pressure on different portions of the quads. Same can be done on leg extensions, placing feet in different directions.

The only thing covered by the Rectus Femoris is the Vastus Intermedius.

The other two are out there and divided by intramuscular septums

yeah, it's rare to see that though. i dunno why, but it's tough for people to get that to come out. Also the adductors and abductors. It's really hard to get them to come out
