Hi everyone, I'm new to this site and need advice.

Ok I'm 34 yrs old 6' tall weigh 265 and trying to and commited to losing weight. I used to be in decent shape but with a couple of injuries I got lazy and gained weight.

But, I'm serious about losing weight and gaining muscle and bieng fit again. I'm not sure where to start.

I am going to the gym about 4 to 5 times a week, do about 40 min. of cardio each time and change up muscle groups each day for the week.

I want to lose weight but gain in muscle. I'm taking Lipo 6x and multi- vit.

Should I be taking whey protien? If so whats a good one and good tasting?

Am I doing enough cardio? What should I focus on?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

Yes you should be taking whey. It's a quick digesting protein that will spark up your protein synthesis and put you in an anabolic state in the morning and after your workouts. You should also get a Casein protein for before bed because it's a slower digesting protein and will keep you anabolic throughout the night. I recommend BSN Syntha-6 for both actually because it's a sustained release protein and has both whey and casein.

If you could give us your training split and an idea of a typical day's diet that'd be amazing dude. thanks!

Well I think my diet needs work. My biggest problem is that I travel all day, so some of what I eat is on the road, but here is a good sample of what I have been eating daily.

When I wake up and leave around 7 or 8am I usually start with a high protien slimfast "Not really high protien", what my wife likes to drink so I help her run out.
Or two hard boiled eggs and either oatmeal or wheat toast.

Apple or banana aroung 9 or 10 am

Usually eat a turkey or ham footlong sandwhich from home or subway. eat half about 11am and the other half about 1pm

Then I goto the gym between 3 and 5pm, now I do eat a 20g protien bar after my workout.

Dinner is usually fish, chicken or steak with salad or usually whatever is made.

yugort or oatmeal at night. 8 or 9 pm

My daily intake is estimated to be around 2200 to 2600 calories, I was definitly eating more, but trying to cut weight.

About 3/4 of a gallon of water a day

For awhile my diet was not too great but I've started making good changes or what seems good.
