Hey guys, well I just finished another grueling legs day... well legs/light biceps. And after I do squats (1st exercise) I seem to have no more energy... like at all... i mean all the blood the quads use up just completely DRAIN me... like i feel to drop dead or bury my head in snow... everything spins and my head starts to ache lol. I need a good 5-10 min break after squats to do ANYTHING after... today after squats i did seated calf raises and then leg press.

So it went like this:

Squats 3x10 @225
Seated calf raises 3x15 @115
Leg press 2x10 @ 450

Incline seated alternate bicep curls 3x8 @30 per arm
Standing dumbbell curls 3x8 @35 per arm
Machine preacher 3x8 @135
Hammers 3x10 @25

Here are some stats of it's useful:
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 166 lbs
BF: around 10%
Age: 20
Status: Bulking

Is there anything I can take or do to help that shortage of energy after squats? Or should i just cut out biceps comepletly and do maybe 5 sets of squats? With regards to protein, I've run out and I'm getting more within the week.... I'm taking omega 3,6,9 with about 5 meals a day (slowly pushing more)

I know you guys are all pretty tired of hearing about diet, but that seems to be the problem right now.

Make sure you're eating 20% of your daily carbohydrate intake 30-45 minutes pre-workout. If you still feel the low energy after squats, it is reasonable to have a bit of simple carbs immediately prior to the workout. Just a thought.

Could also be your sleep? How much do you sleep?

I say keep the workout at what it is, I honestly don't think that's the problem. It looks good.

Thanks km, i'll look into it. And i get around 8+ hours of sleep a night, not every night, but most, so I don't think thats a problem.

Oh, well i would say the intensity is pretty hard lol, lifting heavy, slowly deep squats, and about 2 mins between sets.

I do legs by themselves, its a lot of muscle and it'll wear you down when you hit them hard, I do my biceps on back day, since most of the workout is pulling.

I do 1 warm up set and 3 sets of squats, then 3 sets of leg extensions and 3 sets of leg curls, then I follow it all up with calf exercise.

It's not too bad after squats since you get to sit on your ass for a while and just isolate the legs. Biggest thing is finding what works for you, if you feel tired, then do less sets, more sets doesn't mean bigger muscles faster.

Find what works for your body and go with it. I personally am finding my body is responding awesome to heavy lifting with medium rep range and 3-4 heavy compound lifts followed by 2 other isolation exercises.
