Best competition lifts are 660/365/490. Squat and bench were done in single ply gear, deadlift was raw.

I've benched 250 raw (although I'm good for slightly more then this now, not a lot). I did a 245x5 barbell row last night.

Work on your chest then because those numbers seem disproportional. Try supersetting your huge back with your not so huge chest. Not trying to be an *******, just trying to help.

I can row more than i bench hands down. the lats are a bigger muscle dude. u should be able to row more than u bench. just cuz it's a pulling movement doesn't mean that u shouldn't be able to do more.

Well my row numbers for reps are pretty similar to my benching for reps (in the 200's anyways), but you'll never see someone rowing over 800+ lbs, and quite a few powerlifters are benching in that range.

Maybe these people are talking about shrugs and they call them rows....who knows?

It's the one where you sit the bar on your back, and do a deep knee bend right?

I know someone who's done rows in the low 700's. And you'll also never see someone benching 800 without a bench shirt on lol

I promise you guys. I put the Cricket_Fire 100% guaruntee that it's perfectly normal to be able to row more then you can press

Are we talkn barbell rows or pulley rows?

Rowing involves the entire back, extremely large muscle group(s). However, there's little local or global core stabilization. While the back should be doing the most of the work, the biceps are also heavily recruited, a very small muscle.

Chest presses involve the chest, shoulders and triceps. Angle of gravity is different too. But, antagonistically thinking, you need a strong overall back, to have a strong bench.

So, I think they work interchangeably. I barbell row 125-130 lbs and bench 170-175 lbs and my lats are one of my best attributes..

Eh it's like w.e. What can the right answer be? LOL

My 2 cents.

IMO seriously those gains are kinda unrealistic.....but my lil bro did around the same % whise.....a lot of it has to do with the fact that he finally got his form down and just having better form will make ur weights go up drastically but i would still like to see some proof
