hi guys, question when i lift and do any kind of pressing movement or extensions i get a pain in my elbow. it feels like it is right on the bone. it hurts enough to make the movement really hard to do. has anyone ever had this happen to them and if so how did you treat it.

Yep,, I had it bad, turns out had to have a bone spur removed,, I feeeell great now... On a scale of 1 to 10 , 1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest, rate your pain and tell me exactly where on your elbow it is..

Like bend your elbow at a 90% and tell us where it is exactly..

Chris

You need to shrink the swelling with Ibuprofen and ice it a bit.

very common injury with the tendons. There just overtrained. Tendons recover 3x slower than muscle. Stay away from the movements that cause the pain for a while. It will heal. If you insist in still working out and are as stubborn as I am, take something perferably a wrist wrap and tighten it around your forearm constricting the tendons and perform the exercise lightly. You wont feel any pain. If the pain does not get any better after caution than see a doctor, in worst case scenaio it may be something worse but I think you will be OK.

no offense man, but that's prolly a bad idea. it's just putting off the problem and will end up in you having a really bad injury.

give it a rest, baby it until it starts to heal up and then slowly give it more weight to get back to full capacity. if u just take pain killers it's going to push the problem away from being healed and u wouldn't know if u were injuring it more because of the pain killers.
