Hey Guys!

I have a Ectomorphic structure. I have been working out for a while now. I'm 22, I weigh 66 Kg and 5'10" stature. A little bit of a washboard body.

I want to increase my weight which would not help in the increment of the fat or flaps and heighten my stature a bit. I am thinking to apply for modeling agency at the tend of this year. I try to workout three times a week and cover almost every part of the body once a week including abs, which I normally do three times a week at home.
Is there any suggestion for workout, diet or anything you may suggest would help me gaining more muscular weight?

Thanks!

P.S. Is there any way I may post one of my pics to this thread so that will be a bit easy for any one of you to figure out what and how much I need to pull on body?

Calculate your calorie need then make sure you have the right amount of carbs, protein and fat in your diet, work out every body part 1 time a week and try to break them into 3 or 4 separate workouts and go for a run 3x a week, you should add muscle but still stay thin. Make sure at least 2 days a week you take off and rest.

You could also consider circuit training, you'll gain some size, not like heavy body building, but you'll keep lean and add a few pounds either way.

yeah that's what I normally do actually...but when I run even for two miles a day...I tend to lose my weight about 3 to 4 pounds at the end of the week...and if I stop workout there is a drastic decrement in my weight, I donno y....I have whey protein whenever I workout, before and after and consume almost 10 bananas a day....is that sufficient?
oh btw I am a vegetarian...dont eat any non veg food except egg, if that's the sum up of my doubts?

gaining weight IMO for veggies are difficult, to post up pics you need atleast 16 posts... invest in a weight gain and get your diet in order, what is your target weight?

Some times it's an age thing, I was always a thin teen, I wasn't able to put on weight much until I got closer to 30, now I look at food or touch a weight and I am blowing up man!

DUDE! RAGEN DONT POST ABOUT SHIT YOU HAVE NO USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT! Look kid, youre an ectomorph, you dont need to run! because the last thing you need to worry about is cutting fat! you can work certain body parts 2-3 times a week, like biceps and calves. hell u can do abs and calves 6 days a week! Just be sure you are taking in more calories than you burn! equal amounts of carbs and protein for you buddy(more carbs than protein is ok for you as well)

Only thing you can do is eat and lift heavy/smart.

How's your current diet? Please post.

Focus on the compound exercises like especially squats. Don't worry about getting a 'pump' or feeling the 'burn' just aim to be lifting heavier weights.
I would cut down on the running, if you are training with weights your cardio system is getting worked.

If you are training hard and allowing time to recover then you simply need to eat more. 3 workouts a week seems fine for recovery. I think as an ectomorth you need to focus on recovery and diet as you are likely not eating anough.

I too have an ectomorth body. If I stop training I loose weight very fast. When I trained with using the typical bodybuilding routines printed in the magazines I gained hardly any weight. It was only when I started cutting back on my workout frequency but training harder using either full body or a upper/lower body split and focusing on eating more calories did I started adding weight.
My natural untrained weight is only about 140-150lbs now I weigh about 185lbs. My goal is to get to about 200.
