it depends on the amount of protein you're taking in. protein has 4 kilocalories per gram. so if your major nutrition source is protein and ur basically taking in little to no carbs then it's gonna be used for energy. Fat will be used for energy once all the glycogen is gone and ur working out, but other than that u'd really have to take in a great deal of protein to outweigh the fact that you're going to be using fat for energy. if that makes sense. if not, tell me to do it again. cuz i know sometimes i muck shit up when i try to explain it haha.
