sup dudes,

i have a quick question.

so my upper chest finally started growing but my lower pecs are whats bugging me now.

im pretty fat now, going from 119 to 152 in a 6 month bulk (im going to 160-165 then cutting) and im wondering what i can do to get that lower outer pec area to be more defined.

i think when i cut it'll be more visible but i want to know if theres anything more i can do to bring it out.

ive heard dips work well, just started doing seated dips last week.

im totally open to any suggestions !!!

veteran advice is greatly needed!!

thanks dudesters
peace!

Besides leaning forward while doing them it wouldn't hurt to do them with parallel bars instead of seated, if you can.

Do you mean more defined after the cut? Or more defined while bulking? Because while on your bulk, defined is the last thing you'll be lol. Wait untill you cut, I'm pretty sure that flab looking area will thin down and then from there we can help you. But until you finish bulking and then cut down, the best advice I can give you is weighted dips, HEAVY, to put on mass in that area.

IMO opinion I wouldnt start specialising with training at this time. Keep to the basic movements such as squats, deadlifts, benchpress, chins rows, barbell curls. You can throw in some pre exhaust work like fly's , but at your stage of development I would be focussing on the whole physique and when you have developed a more solid base, then look to specialise!

I agree with him^.Its too early for you to worry about any particular area.Especially while on a bulk. With a higher BF % it will mask whatever you do have so you could really be worried for no reason.Finish your bulk and as Moorey said stay with the basics. Then look your self over after you have cut and are down to around 10% bf

Kaboom is completely right.

If you were going to go for more mass down there though I'd either throw in more decline bench, or more decline HammerStrength. That's going to give you a lot of mass with little unwanted features. Only thing there is that you're upper chest might have a little lagging and u'd have to work on that too. So just take it one day at a time and work your chest hard, but evenly.

Another thing you could try to imply some declin presses but rather than loading up weight start light until you can find a reasonable weight to push yourself. More technique than weight and manipulate the bars and dumbells you have to work with.

I myself do not do any sort of decline..

I do lots of Incline work, and flat work, My nipples point downward, which is what you want.

IMO you dont need decline work, just my opinion, it worked for me not doing it.
