I'm starting to incorporate deadlifting into my training (i know...shame on me) and I was wondering do you add them to your back or leg day? Are stiff leged deadlifts primarily for legs and when you keep the bar close to your shins and "squat" to pick up the weight for the lower back? As u can see, I'm a little confused on form and function. Thanks everyone, I searched but got back a few bizillion results and scaned thru alot of them.

SLDL's work primarily ham strings and glutes.

Standard deadlifts work hips and lower back.

When I used to do a hypertrophy split I did my squats on leg day, and my deadlifts as my first exercise of back day. I had atleast 2 days between

Cosign...

I add Deadlifts, also, on my Back day. Squatting and Deadlifting (Imo two of the most intense compound movements) are extremely hard together.
