You would be losing water weight wearing a sweatshirt, you're still performing cardio.

Sweating doesnt mean you are burning fat. You are just getting your impurities out of your system. Do you really think you are burning fat when you sit in the steam room?

Sweating is actually your body trying to cool it self down in most cases.

Also, alot of the wetness that occurs in a steam room is because of the humidity. Not your body sweating a ton.

The only thing that wearing a sweater does is fight your bodies natural ability to cool itself down by sweating. So, you sweat MORE. All this ends up doing is losing water weight, which doesnt equate to fat loss at all. But people lose sight of that because they drop pounds. Not of fat, but of pure weight.

The only time people use this in the right mindset is when they are trying to make a certain weight in a short amount of time. Like for wrestling or boxing, etc. I dont even think body builders do this, instead they just limit the amount of liquids they intake.

Unless it's somewhat like a Sauna then I don't think it will do much. If you do lose anything, it will be a very minimal amount of water. Losing water weight is fine on a cut, but you should still be keeping your water intake high.

im a wrestler let me be the first to tell you guys that while you may look better when you lose water weight, you feel like absolute shit. all sweating does is take the water out of you, not make you lose fat. but hey if u need to make weight jump in the sauna and then steam room works everytime =D

Just because your not sweating doesn't mean your not burning fat or calories. Your body is becoming efficient at the workout. You may need to switch things up a bit to shock your body into a change.

Sweating is the bodies way of cooling down. Up your intensity, do sprints. Or change your cardo routine all together.

I dont know what type of cardo your doing. Could you list your activities?
