Well after breaking my foot a year ago, I finnally felt it was time to try doing some deadlifts on sun, Well I started off slow cause I wanted to feel out my foot.

I did a set 8 with a couple 45s (90lbs) and that felt good, So i added a few 10s and did another set of 8 (110lbs), I'm thinking this is good, So I load up to a total of 225lbs and do a set of 6, ummm?? I'm thinking this is good.. Soooo I throw a few more plates on to a grand total of 245lbs and fire off two more sets of 2. FELT GREAT all that weight. I felt like I could have done a bit more, but i ran out of plates

WOW.. after not doing any dead lifts for over a year I think 245lbs for 2 sets of 2 is decent I have no idea what i weight right now.. i'm guessing around 150-165lbs.. Thought I'd share with you guys.. I'm hoping to break 300lbs next time i do DLs

Comments welcome

I had 4 25s and a 10 on each side, plus the bar... you do the deads without a bar? You use a machine?

By my quick math, i did 265 total. I did this for about 4 reps.

Those weights are including the bar (45lbs), I an not using a machine I prefre to use free weights, better for what I am training for :)

At first you weren't adding the bar in, but you never said total. So, heh.

Good job none the less man. That is pretty impressive that you can break a leg and then get back into lifting like that again.

Very nice man, coming back from an injury building confidence is extremely important. I had a patellar subluxation (dislocated kneecap) in 2005 and it took me a while to go full throttle on the weights again, let alone play any sport.

What are you training for?
