Hey guys.. Just joined last night. Anyways gonna make my story short.. Ive been exercising all my life, only within the last 5 months did i train and diet seriously enough to actually lose 30lbs. I need training help and cant afford a trainer. What resources are out there besides this website. I picked up a copy of Arnold Schwarzenneger's Bodybuilding encylopedia and Strength Training Anatomy. Are there any good DVD's or videos out there I should be watching. Thanks -David

I am looking to lose some more fat.. i weigh about 206 now and was 235 about 5 months ago.. I definitely dont want to bulk up. I like the more defined look. Currently I take wheyprotein w/ Gatorade before and after workouts and with water throughout the day. My target weight is 170. So im getting about 170g of protein a day through whey and food. I want to get to around 10% body fat. I know im in the 20's currently but i know i can do it.. Its been rough these last months. Cardio for lunch and weight lifting after work at 24 hr fitness. btw: for late night workouts. I was going to take other supplements but I saw visited a doctor of sports medicine and he didnt want me to take the creatines, nitric oxides, etc. Also, im geared more toward health. Thanks for the responses guys. -David

Read this 2x and take notes. Bookmark it. I have read it so many times I can probably answer whatever questions you have.

Don't go to MD's for nutrition advice. Not all med schools even require 1 nutrition class (only about 1/4 of them do) and even less offer nutrition electives. Simply put MD's typically don't know anything about nutrition. You would be much better off going to a registered dietitian.
