Hdogg, would the AM/PM routine still work if you did the light workout early and the heavy workout at night?

Basically you want to lift heavy in the AM when the nervous system and the muscles are fresh. Lifting heavy weight low reps after you have already done a high volume workout would not allow you to lift the maximum weights you normally would. You could try it i guess, but it would definately be better to lift AM because you will be able to handle heavier weights.

Jay Cutler trains AM/PM. I would like to try for 2 month or so but don't have the time. How long should the workouts take? 1 hour?

hey hdogg in a previous post from slyizlegend he said this (Just when the body wants to recover, you're going back to the gym again. And you feel strong again at PM so you are at risk that you will do too much for only 1 muscle) could u explain this to me and do u agree with him on this point.....also wut is coristol or something like that cuz some guy said that if u dont train in 7 to 8 hours after i wake up in the morining i will not b as strong cuz my corizitol level will go down or something like that...do u no wut am trying to say i mean is that real...th alot...

Cortisol is a "stress" hormone produced by the adrenal glands and is responsible for glucogenesis (breaking down amino acids into sugar), and it inhibits protein synthesis. Its produced under ANY stress your body undergoes (weight training, surgery, just drinking a couple cups of coffee even). Cortisol and glycogen work inverse of each other-----like hdogg said, if you each a carb rich meal postworkout, this will minimize the effects of cortisol. check out http://www.thinkmuscle.com/articles/jalali/cortisol.htm
