guys, what is the best muscle group to start off with here? I know they both use biceps but should I start off with back to somewhat pre-exhaust them and then hit a couple of exercises on the bis? thanks for any help ahead of time!

I would keep a record log, and do one bodypart one week first, then switch and do the other.. Then write down how you feel and decide.

Yeah, I agree. Good idea. It depends on how easily your biceps get worked while doing back exercises.

I'd say definitely do back first.

It's such a large, complex muscle group it's be best to lift as heavy as you can when training it.

Your bi's will be helping throughout your back work-out and having these fatigued before you even start the back with lower the weight you lift greatly. Especially for such exercises like chin-ups. And chins are a fantastic back exercise.

Bi's aren't large so I wouldn't be worrying so much about how much you COULD be lifting if you did them first. So, I advise, train them after you back, Sir.

back first... if your that worried about your biceps, put them on another day.

if you do your biceps first you will not be able to get in a solid back work out. i say always give the chest , legs and back priority over everything, they are your foundation. nice biceps are just icing on the cake

ive been doing back and bis on the same day for awhile now. I always to back first before i hit my bis , its a must. The one back exercise that does drain my biceps like crazy is wide grip pull ups so watch out for those.

I do them separately as well, it feels like my Biceps have already gotten a workout after back.

If wide grip pull ups beat up your bis you should really concentrate on using the back muscles a little more you really should only feel it in your Bis at the top of the pull

i train my bis seperate, remember your arms are just like 'hooks' on a back day and shouldnt be doing all the pulling, although it is understandable for your bis to be pumped on a back day, pull with our back and imagine your hands as hooks not the bodbpart doing the workout
