well, your trapsr get trained when u work out yur back and shoulders, o thers no need to train them too much. i just train them right after shoulders. that should be enough... barbell shrugs and dumbell shrugs do it for me. hope this helps

not to mention, remember that pros are on steroids, which help them to recover faster than others, so they can train a body part more and sooner

in my opinion...
i think some of those guys who have rediculous traps ( like goldberg) have the genetics for them. i have really seen alot of guys in the gym stress those traps and do 4 different exercises for them. i think they are a waste of time, you hit your traps on back day and shoulder day whether you realize it or not. all those extra exercises are unnecissary. just my opinion though, i would rather spend more energy on core lifts, they will benefit the most and also tax the auxillary muscles at the same time

Once a week, heavy. Twice maybe.

Genetics may help, but doesn't play as big of a role as you think. Train them heavy once a week and you're good to go.

i know its not directed at me but i thought i would chime in.....

upright rows dont kill the rotator cuff... depends on hand placement. a more narrow grip may put added stress on those 4 muscles, but if you widen the grip it should alleviate some of that, it could also depend from person to person and how high you pull it up.

been doing those for years.... no problems for me
tell you what is bad for the rotator cuff.... presses behind the neck a lot of people seem to love

I almost never isolate traps and my neck is still disappearing. It depends on the person.
