Believe it or not guys, I'm in Anatomy as a sophmore in highschool. There are many posts about the bicep, most of which people seeking advice on how to make the muscle grow or become more defined. I will explain each part of the bicep and simples exercises to gain mass.

The biceps brachii (as pointed out in the image) is a muscle located on the upper arm. The biceps has several functions, the most important simply being to flex the elbow and to rotate the forearm.

This muscle is the most known throughout the population, and the most popular

Brachialis Side of the arm in between the Tricep Branchii and the Bicep Branchii.
The brachialis starts from the anterior humerus and inserts on the ulnar tuberosity and coracoid. It's main function, also, is to flex the elbow.

Mass building Exercises?
Standing barbell curl
E-Z Bar curl
Alternating Dumbbell Curl
Hammer Curls
Preacher Curl
Spider Curls
Seated Dumbbell Curl
Wide Barbell Curl

Reason for post? Many people have questions on how to form their biceps but don't fully understand what the muscle is composed of.

You mixed up your attachments dude. Short head of biceps attaches to the coracoid process, brachialis attaches to the coranoid process of the ulna.

Also it's biceps, not bicep. I don't mean to nitpick, it's just one of my pet peeves. The use of the word bicep annoys me as much as the word tricept.

I agree, sorry for the mix up i can't edit it. In terms of switching up exercise I named multiple exercises. If I didn't people would be complaining on which one worked best for them, which ones didn't. Just gave an overlook.

A hammer curl brought across the chest works the outer bicep. This really helped me as I was weaker on the outer bicep. While there are many I think the standing barbell, hammer infront and across the chest, and preacher, take you along way.

A curl using cables is nice for the constant tension. I have seen greatest strength increases with cable curls.
